underwhelming stay, some issues

wobbly table absent recognition
The hotel knew it was my birthday, but they didn't even bother to acknowledge it. I found that odd. also, i asked for some crisps at the bar to enjoy with my drink but was told they weren't available there, only with sandwiches. That's a bit silly. and get this, there was this wobbly table in the bar causing my red wine to spill all over my white shirt. the next day, guess what? same wobbly table, still wobbling!

appalling service incorrect wine
The room provided a perfect sleep and the bedding was of unmatched quality compared to other hotels I have stayed in.
The service was appalling and there was nobody to greet me upon arrival and staff lacked knowledge about wines so they could not give advice. The wine presented was incorrect so I returned it for a replacement. A staff member thought it was acceptable when I said it was only ok and they need to learn the difference between ok good fantastic and superb.

An Acceptable Stay

well-kept house relaxing environment service detail breakfast standard
I appreciated the well-kept house and the relaxing environment. The setting was lovely and provided a calm backdrop for the visit. The room had a comfortable bed, and it offered a perfect sleep. The furnishings were cosy and clean.
The pre-dinner service did not meet expectations. Attention to detail seemed lacking across several areas. The breakfast service also fell short of the standard expected at this price. The food was acceptable.
